Coolest Things to Do in Chicago You Shouldn’t Miss

First-time travel might be daunting. Usually, there’s an excessive amount to do, and it is hard to fit everyone into the plan.

Before my trip to Chicago, a vibrant metropolis in the Midwest, I wrote a list of everything I wished to see and do. Let’s say I was a little motivated and eager because it was enough for a two-month stay (at least).

I have a friend living in the town who makes sure I have a good time there.

1. Enjoy a 360 degrees view of Chicago

I don’t know about you, however, one of my first thoughts. When touring a new city, I search for a high location that allows me to see a stunning view.

That could mean climbing an antique cathedral in Amsterdam. Or hike up a fortification in Kotor, Montenegro.

In this case, it requires the elevator to the 94th floor of the John Hancock Building. It is among the highest buildings in Chicago.

2. Magnificent Mile

Walking through Chicago’s most well-known retail district is another thrilling activity.

The Beautiful Inch is part of Michigan Avenue. It is home to upmarket boutiques, fashion outlets, good restaurants, and luxurious hotels.

Famous sites along the Boulevard include the Chicago Water Tower. The Wrigley Building, and, of course, the John Hancock Center.

It’s likewise a great place to shop at one of the three major shopping malls. Or for more adventurous activities, such as a room escape adventure at The Escape Game, located nearby.

3. LondonHouse Rooftop Bar

How does drinking a martini on a rooftop bar while seeing boats drift down the Chicago River sound to you?

If this appears like your thing, avoid missing out on visiting one of the town’s most prominent hotels’ rooftop bars.

The LondonHouse Chicago is a four-star hotel housed in a 1920s building that views the renowned Riverwalk. While sipping a delicious cocktail. You may enjoy breathtaking views of the Chicago River. The tri-level rooftop bar overlooks the Magnificent Mile and even Lake Michigan.

4. Millennium Park

A walk through Millennium Park is a must-do while visiting Chicago for the first time.

This public park is among the most famous free attractions. Because of the renowned installation is known as Cloud Gate, also known as “the Bean”.

It is a wonderful green oasis in the middle of downtown Chicago. Owing to locations like the designed Lurie Garden.

Furthermore, the Boeing Galleries feature unique outdoor art. The Jay Pritzker Pavilion hosts a free music event.

5. Chicago Riverwalk

Millennium Park doesn’t seem the only fantastic spot for a stroll.

The historical Chicago Riverwalk enables you to wander along the beautiful river that runs throughout the town.

At first glance, the Riverwalk appears to be your average pedestrian shoreline, but it is a lot more than that. You can get beverages at several cool outdoor bars. Or eat lunch at one of the many restaurants along the riverfront.

Furthermore, you can visit a museum dedicated to the Chicago River. Or find some fantastic outdoor art galleries along the walk.
